My research investigates private non-bank mortgage credit, banking and financial history of Scandinavia. With a focus on the evolution of early financial instruments such as bills of exchange, mortgages, trade credit, and bonds. I employ quantitative and interdisciplinary methods, including social network analysis, Machine Learning, and OCR—to understand how these instruments shaped past economic and social life.
