Hi, I am Karl Joachim Brende an economic historian. My research focuses on the development of the earliest forms of credit: bills of exchange, interpersonal loans, and peer-to-peer lending in Scandinavia with a focus on Norway and Denmark .
I finished my master degree in Economic History at the University of Oslo (supervised by Professor Einar Lie) in December 2024.
Using a global historical perspective with new digital tools, social networks, and an interdisciplinary social science approach.
